Alternative entry pathways for school leavers
Even if you haven't met the admission requirements for the course you want to study, you may still be able to study at Curtin in the future. Here you will find information about how to get in to Curtin if you don't automatically qualify for university entry.
AQF Qualifications
Qualifications from a registered Australian Qualifications Framework provider can qualify you for entry.
Bridging Courses
If you narrowly fail to meet the entry requirements, Curtin offers short courses that will qualify you for entry.
Extension Studies
Extension units are available for study at Curtin. They don't lead to a qualification but can qualify you for entry.
OUA Study
Completion of two degree level units through Open Universities Australia may qualify you for university entry.
Special Consideration Entry
If events outside your control have prevented you from meeting the admission requirements, you may be eligible for Special Consideration Entry.
TAFE
Some TAFE qualifications can qualify you for entry to Curtin.
Curtin's TAFE courses
Curtin's Vocational Training and Education Centre (VTEC) offers a range of TAFE courses at the Certificate and Diploma level at Kalgoorlie and Esperance. You may be able to use your VTEC qualification to get into uni.
Curtin International College (CIC)
In partnership with Curtin, CIC successful diploma graduates are guaranteed entry into year two of the relevant undergraduate degree at Curtin.
