Alternative entry pathways for mature age applicants
Even if you haven't met the admission requirements for the course you want to study, you may still be able to study at Curtin in the future. Here you will find information about how to get in to Curtin if you don't automatically qualify for university entry.
AQF qualifications
Qualifications from an accredited Australian Qualifications Framework provider.
Bridging courses
If you narrowly fail to meet the entry requirements, Curtin offers short courses that will qualify you for entry.
Extension studies
Completion of two degree level units through Extension Studies may qualify you for university entry.
International qualifications
If you hold any secondary or post secondary qualifications from another country, you may qualify for university entry.
Mature Age TEE
Gain university entry by sitting two or more TEE subjects in the same year.
Nursing qualifications
General or Mental Health Nurses who are currently registered with any Australian Nurses Board.
OUA Study
Completion of two degree level units through Open Universities Australia may qualify you for university entry.
Special cases
If you have experienced exceptional circumstances, you may be eligible for Special Consideration Entry.

TAFE
Some TAFE qualifications can lead to university entry.
Curtin's TAFE courses
Curtin's Vocational Training and Education Centre (VTEC) offers a range of TAFE courses at the Certificate and Diploma level at Kalgoorlie and Esperance. You may be able to use your VTEC qualification to get into uni.
Curtin International College (CIC)
In partnership with Curtin, CIC successful diploma graduates are guaranteed entry into year two of the relevant undergraduate degree at Curtin.
