Parents and teachers
Transitioning from high school to university is easier for students when they have support from parents and teachers.
Curtin helps parents and teachers provide this support, through events and information.
Tools for parents
Parent information sessions are held twice a year, for parents of Year 10 and Year 12 students. Experts from Curtin will address questions many parents have, such as how involved you should be and how to help your child cope with university life.
University terminology is also covered if you’re unsure of anything.
Tools for teachers
Curtin University’s Teachers’ Big Day Out is an annual event held to inform teachers, career coordinators and other key Year 11 and 12 staff about Curtin’s courses and facilities.
Campus tours can be booked for school students, or visits to your school made by Curtin’s special student ambassadors. All activities are designed to take the mystery out of University study for school students.
