Studying overseas
Study Abroad and Student Exchange
Studying overseas is a great option for students with an adventurous spirit and an eagerness to learn. Overseas study programs are available to all students and give you the chance to travel while you study and add a unique experience to your educational, social, personal and career development.
There are two different programs available to students who wish to study overseas: Student Exchange and Study Abroad. Under Student Exchange, you study at a Curtin partner institution for one or two semesters. You remain enrolled at Curtin and pay your fees normally (HECS-HELP or up-front fees).
Under the Study Abroad program, you can attend universities Curtin doesn't have formal exchange agreements with, negotiating directly with your destination university and paying your fees to that institution.

Through our long-standing expertise in the provision of international education and our partnerships with several Asian institutions, it's possible to undertake all or part of some of our courses in these countries. Courses can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.
Offshore students study the same subjects and use the same materials as students studying on-campus in Australia. They also sit the same exams and are assessed against the same levels of performance.
