Flexible entry pathways
If you don’t meet our entry requirements, there are still plenty of ways to gain entry to Curtin.
StepUp to Curtin Scheme
StepUp to Curtin is a collaboration of two Alternative Access Schemes, StepUp Entry and StepUp Bonus. Both Schemes grant bonus ATAR points based on your circumstances or location, and could help make you eligible for admission into Curtin courses. Learn more about StepUp to Curtin.
Alternative entry is available for selected courses for those who can demonstrate equivalence to Curtin’s ATAR entry through the submission of a portfolio that demonstrates evidence of your academic achievements, qualifications and ability.
Please submit your portfolio to gain entry.
If you have not met Curtin’s entry requirements, Curtin also offers a range of bridging courses which are tailored to suit specific types of students.
- Business, humanities or health: if you wish to qualify for entry into a range of undergraduate degrees in the areas of business, humanities or health at Curtin, please refer to the UniReady Enabling Program.
- Science, engineering or health: if you intend to pursue an undergraduate degree in the area of science, engineering or health, please refer to the Enabling Course in Science, Engineering and Health
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent: if you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, please refer to the Indigenous Tertiary Enabling Course
Based on the main Bentley Campus, Curtin College provides qualifications ranging from pre-university to Diploma programs. These qualifications guarantee a place in the second year of the related Bachelor degree, subject to meeting progression rules and entry requirements.
TAFE and other AQF qualifications
If you’ve received a qualification from TAFE or another Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) recognised institution, you may meet Curtin’s minimum academic entry requirements and be able to get into university.
