Amanda Rickman
Bachelor of Commerce Major: Public Relations
After working in sales and marketing prior to starting my degree, I was amazed at how relevant the courses were to real life business situations. The programs, such as CBSplus, that are on offer are invaluable on both a personal and professional level, and I would never have had these opportunities had I not come to Curtin. I have been able to use my prior knowledge to excel at university, and my new found knowledge to become a better young professional.

Bachelor of Arts (Urban & Regional Planning)
I love Curtin! I am surrounded by people who are interested in the same things as me, people who know how to have a great time as well as working hard. Curtin is so flexible, the teachers all have experience so they know what they are talking about! Curtin lets me learn about my passion in an environment any high school student would dream for.
Siti Adnan
Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication) Majors: Journalism & Public Relations
The most intelligent decision I made when I first came to Curtin was going to a Student Learning Support Centre workshop. The advice and support given were very valuable and I still keep the handouts from all the sessions I attended. The Study Skills workshops were very useful. I really appreciated the time and patience of the staff for guiding me in managing my time at university. Go for one session and you'll see how your grades will sky-rocket! (Of course, hard work plays a part too!)

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic Engineering)
Curtin is a good place to study because I get to meet people from all over the world! It's truly fascinating to be able to work in teams with people from the other side of the earth. I get to learn about their culture and they learn something about mine. It's really an eye opener to the world for me. There are lots of things to do at Curtin when the boredom bee stings, from visiting the John Curtin Gallery (especially nice during the summer), relaxing in Henderson court, playing sports in the sports centre or just chilling out at one of the many cafés around campus.
Carissa Easton
Bachelor of Arts (Media and Information), Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Cultural studies). Majors: Performance Studies and Journalism.
The learning facilities on campus are fantastic. The lecture theatres are really spacious and the tutorial rooms are nice and intimate, which allows close friendships to form. The computer labs are a godsend - as I often am not home long enough to do my assignments I can type up and print out my assignments at uni. My favourite computer lab is 501, as it's more friendly and homely than the others. The Library is really good, it has a large variety of good resources in it, and the Library website allows me to search for other resources to help with my assignments.
John Polinelli
Bachelor of Commerce. Major: Finance
The flexibility of my course allowed me to study, work and travel at the same time, was which was both surprising and phenomenal. I found that when I entered the workforce I had a greater understanding of the 'real world' compared to other university graduates. I not only had an understanding of theory, but also how to apply what I had learnt to everyday problems encountered at work.
