Switch to Curtin

Switching to Curtin from another university is easy provided you have met Curtin’s minimum entry requirements. Depending on your previous study and the course you want to apply for, you may be able to apply for credit transfer if you have completed relevant units within your previous course.

To switch to Curtin, you can follow the steps below:

Step 1

Choose the course you wish to apply for and check whether you have met the course entry requirements. Visit our Curtin University Admissions Requirements website to ensure you have met the minimum entry requirements to switch to Curtin.

Step 2

Click the “Apply – Find Out How” button on the course page. You will now be stepped through the application process including what information you will need to complete your application. As you are switching universities, part of the information required will be a colour, scanned copy of your official academic transcript. However, there may also be additional supporting documents required, such as the Credit Transfer eApplication form (see the next step).

Step 3

If you are applying for credit based on previous study, you will need to complete the Credit Transfer eApplication form as part of your application. If you indicate ‘Yes’ to applying for credit in your eApplication, you must upload the Credit Transfer eApplication form with any supporting documents.

Step 4

The University Admission Centre will assess your completed eApplication. If you are a successful applicant, you will receive a Notification of Offer email. If you are successful in your application to Curtin but are still enrolled at your previous university, please make sure you withdraw from your previous course so you do not incur any further course fees.
