Curtin University welcomes applications from International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students. Domestic IB students are eligible to apply if they have:

If you have not met Curtin’s entry requirements for your desired course, Curtin offers a range of bridging courses which are tailored to suit specific types of students.

Scholarship opportunities

IB diploma students are eligible to apply for scholarships at Curtin as part of Curtin’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence, supporting research and enabling students from all backgrounds to realise their potential.

Credit for Recognised Learning (CRL)

Subject to individual assessment, CRL for courses within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma toward certain Curtin award programs may be possible. Dependent on the Curtin course you enter, Curtin may grant specified or unspecified credit points for the completed programs listed below if a grade of 6 or above in the final year of the IB Diploma program is achieved. IB Diploma Program Courses that are Standard (S) or High Level (HL) are acceptable for CRL application, except Psychology (HL only).

Applications and admissions

Domestic IB Diploma candidates

Semester One intake:

Australian citizens and permanent residents of Australia should apply for Semester One intake admission through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC).

Semester Two intake:

Australian citizens and premanent residents of Australia should apply for Semester Two intake admission by submitting an application to Curtin University.

International IB Diploma candidates

Curtin University welcomes applications from International IB students who may apply directly to Curtin via the online application service.
