Fun, fitness and wellbeing
While study can be challenging, you’ll still be able to participate in plenty of activities outside the lecture theatres and tutorial rooms. You can join student clubs, get involved in sport, party at Guild events and lots more.
A multicultural campus
With more than 7,000 international students studying at our Australian locations, Curtin offers a unique cross-cultural experience. Socially and academically, you will become part of a network that has extremely diverse interests, languages and beliefs.
The diversity of faiths on campus is supported by our Multi-Faith Services, provided by a qualified team that is able to meet your spiritual needs in meaningful and practical ways.
Thousands flock to the Bentley campus every October for the celebration of food that is Pasar Malam.
Counselling, health and student wellbeing
Curtin offers a range of health and wellbeing services to ensure you are healthy and happy during your studies. Our services can assist with relationships, stress, anxiety, sexuality, depression and crisis management.

Disability counsellors facilitate and provide services and support for students with disabilities and medical conditions. These include alternative examination arrangements, study materials in accessible formats, support staff, physical access management and specialised library services.
Curtin Student Guild
The Curtin Student Guild is responsible for some of our biggest social events, with events like the Beach Bash becoming part of Curtin folklore, but there’s much more to the Guild than partying.
The Guild plays a vital role in representing the interests of students by providing educational, commercial and social services to its members. The Guild is your voice on campus. It represents all students on the University boards and committees.
All profits made from Guild catering, retail, events and membership are put back into student programs, student experiences and capital investments on campus.
The Guild supports a variety of clubs on campus. With over 70 clubs currently active, there’s sure to be something that interests you.
- Academic clubs
Academic clubs link you with other students studying in your field. There’s a club for nearly every subject.
- International clubs
If you’re an international student, there may be a club that represents your country at Curtin.
- Issues based clubs
Issues based clubs are for those students who like to discuss, act for and represent certain issues in society and at Curtin.
- Special interest clubs
Have an interest in motorcycles, sci-fi or something else? These unique clubs are fun and if your special interest isn’t catered for, you can register your own.
- Religious clubs
Religious clubs include the Curtin Buddhist Association, Curtin Muslim Students Association, Curtin Christian Club, Catholic Student’s Association and more.
The Guild also runs Student Assist, a confidential welfare, advocacy, support and referral service to assist all students with any personal, welfare or academic issue that they may have.
Discounts for Guild members
The Guild operates many services on campus, including cafes and cafeterias, a tavern and bistro, second-hand bookshop, Curtin Concept Store and the Copy & Design Centre. Full Guild members receive discounts at all Guild operated retail and food outlets as well as at over forty businesses across the Perth metro area and beyond.
