What graduates are doing
Career opportunities are many and varied, with graduates finding employment in health agencies, research centres, public health institutions, administration or private practice.
Many of the faculty’s health courses are designed in collaboration with professional bodies in order to ensure they prepare students well for graduate practice. Where relevant, courses are accredited by professional bodies so that Curtin health graduates are eligible to apply for registration as health practitioners or to join professional associations.
Research and development
The Faculty of Health Sciences is continually exploring innovative solutions to health problems through strong links with professional bodies and industry. The majority of staff are involved in cutting-edge research and many leading health practitioners are involved in teaching, ensuring that there is strong integration of theory, research and practice.
The establishment of the multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute, the first of its kind in Australia, brings together Curtin’s excellent health researchers to work with industry partners, government and the wider community. The institute will revolutionise the education of our health professionals, focusing on inter-professional education programs and research opportunities while providing vital clinical practice opportunities which will enhance student learning and experiences.
