Enrolment

If you are successful in your application to study an undergraduate course at Curtin, you will receive a letter of offer via email. You can either accept or defer your offer.

How to accept your offer and enrol at Curtin University

To accept your offer and enrol at Curtin University, you will first need to activate your OASIS account:

  1. Go to oasis.curtin.edu.au.
  2. Click ‘Activate your account’ in the blue login box.
  3. Follow the instructions on screen. You will need your Student ID (located in your offer letter).

Once you have activated your OASIS account (this only takes a few minutes), you will then be able to log into OASIS.

Because you’re a new student, when you log into OASIS you will see a special version of OASIS called EnrolNow!

Once you are in EnrolNow!, please follow these steps:

  1. Accept your offer.
  2. Complete your eCAF.
  3. Enrol in units (information session).
  4. Register into classes (timetable).
  5. Do other tasks (read the Academic Calendar, register your SmartRider, order your Student ID card etc).
  6. Prepare for O-Week (you may be required to attend information sessions relevant to your degree).

EnrolNow! will take you through each step in detail, so it is important to read all the information on each page before proceeding to the next step. When you are in step 3 and reach ‘Enrol’, you will be taken to eStudent. There you will be provided with your study plan or a list of units you are required to complete for your course.

How to defer your offer

To defer your offer from Curtin University, you will first need to activate your OASIS account:

  1. Go to oasis.curtin.edu.au.
  2. Click ‘Activate your account’ in the blue login box.
  3. Follow the instructions on screen. You will need your Student ID (located in your offer letter).

Once you’ve activated your OASIS account (this only takes a few minutes), you will then be able to log into OASIS and defer your offer through EnrolNow!

In EnrolNow! you will be given an option to accept or defer your offer. If you choose to defer your offer, you will be redirected to eStudent. Please follow these steps in eStudent to complete the deferral process:

  1. Go to the My Offers tab in eStudent.
  2. You will see a list of the courses for which you have received an offer.
  3. Select ‘View’ for the appropriate offer you wish to defer.
  4. On the next screen the details of your offer will be displayed. Please check that these details are correct.
  5. To defer your offer, click ‘Defer’. This will load the deferral form.
  6. It will automatically default to the correct deferral period, (do not change the default setting). Click ‘Defer’.
  7. A green success message will confirm that you have successfully deferred your offer.

If your offer has lapsed and/or you have already accepted your offer, please email the Admissions Office at defer@curtin.edu.au for assistance.

You can only defer up to the census date for that study period. After the census date has passed, you may still be able to put your studies on hold by completing a Leave of Absence (LOA) request. For more information, please contact the relevant Student Service Office.
