Student ambassadors

The Curtin University Student Ambassador Program provides personal and professional development opportunities to current Curtin students who are interested in sharing their student experiences with prospective students.

The Program creates opportunities for you to develop professional and personal skills, get involved with University Marketing events, activities and projects and to network with your peers.

This year the Student Ambassador program is offering two ambassadorial streams for you to choose from. The Face-to-Face (F2F) and Digital Streams.

Upon successful completion of one ambassadorial stream, Student Ambassadors are invited to apply for the second stream, if they wish.

Who can be a student ambassador?

Any Curtin enrolled student, domestic or international, who is passionate about their student experience and excited about representing Curtin either at recruitment events and activities, or digitally via University Marketing owned digital platforms.

To be eligible you must be currently studying a Curtin Course with relevant University life experience.

What’s involved? – Student Ambassadors – Face to Face (F2F)

Peer-to-peer perspective

Where appropriate Student Ambassadors will be called upon to share their personal, positive perspective of the Curtin experience and provide helpful tips to prospective students about the transition from school to university.

Events

Participate and assist in a minimum of 20 events, activities or projects. These would include speaking and leading at on and off-campus group visits, Q&A panel, school expos, Career Expo, Orientation Week and Open Day.

Training and Orientation

A mandatory training session and orientation workshop will be available for all new student ambassadors. This will help you familiarise and integrate into the program, meet your fellow student ambassadors as well as learn what you will need to know for the role.

What’s involved? – Student Ambassadors – Digital

Events

Participate and assist in a minimum of 10 recruitment events, activities or projects. Such as on and off-campus group visits, Q&A panel, school expos, Career Expo, Orientation Week and Open Day.
Participation involves content creation and contribution specific to these events to be used on Curtin’s official digital channels, including website and social media.

Social Media

Assist with the creation of content for Curtin’s official social media channels. This includes capturing imagery and video suitable for various social media formats and of various subjects in addition to events, such as the student experience on campus and around Perth.

Training and Orientation

A mandatory training session and orientation workshop will be available for all new student ambassadors. This will help you familiarise and integrate into the program, meet your fellow student ambassadors as well as learn what you will need to know for the role.
