Frequently asked questions

How do I find out the status of my application to a higher degree by research?

Please do not refer to the application status listed within the My Applications tab in eStudent for an update on your application status.  This section is used only for coursework degree applicants and will not reflect an accurate application status for higher degree by research applications.

Higher degree by research applications are subject to several levels of review. Your application is first assessed by the relevant Enrolling School for supervision capacity and resources to support your research, followed by Faculty review to endorse your application. This process can take 6-8 weeks. Once the review process is complete, you will be notified by Curtin University. Queries relating to application status may be directed to the Graduate Research School after the approximate review time frame listed above has lapsed.
