IndonesiaIjazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) and the Ujian NasionalFrom 2013 - Successful completion of Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) (Certificate of Completion from Academic Senior Secondary School) with an overall average grade of at least 80%, with evidence of passing the Ujian Nasional (National Examinations) in meet Curtin’s minimum academic entry requirement. This qualification does not satisfy undergraduate subject prerequisites.
Before 2013 - Successful completion of Ijazah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) (Certificate of Completion from Academic Senior Secondary School) with an overall average grade of at least 80% (8.0) and at least an overall average grade of 80% (8.0) from the Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN) (Certificate of Graduation).
IrelandIrish Leaving CertificateFrom 2017- completion of the Irish Leaving Certificate issued by the Irish State Examinations Commission with 10 points aggregated from the best five subjects at Higher Level.

This qualification does not satisfy any subject prerequisites.
ScotlandScottish Higher and Advanced HigherCompletion of Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) National Courses at Higher level (SCQF Level 6) or/and Advanced Higher level (SCQF Level 7) and obtained at least 5 points from the best four grades.

Points calculated as follows:

SQA National Courses at Scottish Higher level (SCQF Level 6): A = 3, B = 2, C = 1.5, D = 0

SQA National Courses at Advanced Higher level (SCQF Level 7): A = 6, B = 5, C = 4, D = 3

For subjects taken at both Scottish Higher and Advanced Higher levels, use the grade obtained at Advanced Higher Level towards the aggregate.
SingaporeSingapore/Cambridge GCE A LevelA minimum of 5 points obtained from two or three H2 Level subjects are required. Points calculated as follows: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.
South AfricaNational Senior CertificateCompletion of the National Senior Certificate with a grade average of Level 4 (50%) over six subjects (excluding Life Orientation).
Sri LankaSri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)A minimum of 5 points obtained for two Advanced Level subjects (Excluding General Paper) are required; Points calculated as follows: A=5, B=4, C=3, S =1

UKGCE Advanced Level
(from a United Kingdom examination authority: CIE, OCR, Edexcel, AQA, WJEC or CCEA)
A minimum of 5 points obtained for two or three Advanced Level subjects are required; Points calculated as follows:
Grades awarded from 2010 onwards: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.
Grades awarded up to 2009: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1.
USSAT (test sat from 2016) and US High School DiplomaUnited States High School Diploma or a High School Diploma based on a US curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or an average grade of B) and a Total score (Evidence-based Reading and Writing section and Math section) of at least 1000 out of 1600 in the SAT from the same sitting, a minimum of 400 in Evidence-based Reading and Writing section, and 400 in Math section is required. This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites.
SAT (test sat between 2005-2015) and US High School DiplomaCompletion of High School Diploma with an average grade of B or better in year 12 and a combined score of at least 1500 out of 2400 in the Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing sections in the SAT Reasoning Test from the same sitting, with a minimum of 460 in each section. This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites.
ACT and US High School DiplomaUnited States High School Diploma or a High School Diploma based on a US curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or an average grade of B) and a composite score of 21 or better in the American College Test (ACT). This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites.
Advanced Placement (AP) and US High School DiplomaCompletion of High School Diploma and obtain at least a Grade point score of 6 from a minimum of two but a maximum of three College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations
VietnamVietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma

From 2015 - Completion of the Bang Tu tai or Bang Tot nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma) with at least 8.00 in the Score for Graduation Evaluation. This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites.


Grade 12 results may be considered if the required final GPA is obtained from selected Gifted High Schools.


Before 2015 - Completion of the Bang Tu tai or Bang Tot nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma) with an average of at least 80% in the six (or four in Year 2014) academic subjects (Maths, Literature and two elective subjects) in the Thi Tot Nghiep Pho thong Trung hoc (Secondary School Leaving Examination). This qualification does not satisfy any course prerequisites.

Please note: the minimum entry requirements stated above may not be sufficient in meeting entry into courses with higher admission requirements. Please refer to the admission criteria tab on each course page for higher admission requirements.

If your overseas senior secondary school leaving qualification is not listed in the table above, but you have successfully completed a minimum of one year full-time study in a bachelor degree at a recognised overseas tertiary institution, you may still be eligible for admission. Please email admissions@curtin.edu.au to confirm whether your qualification is recognised.

When you apply, please include your final academic transcripts, grading keys and degree award certificate (if applicable) to ensure your application and qualifications are assessed at the same time. Applications are assessed on a case–by-case basis against criteria set by Curtin University.

Separate evidence of English competency may also be required.
