Resources and support

Curtin provides a range of resources and support services to help you stay on top of your studies and make the most of your time at university.

Learning Centre

The Learning Centre provides free workshops and online programs to help you improve your study skills. There are programs to develop your academic writing, including how to improve your grammar, sentence structure and how to write better essays. There are workshops on referencing and how to avoid plagiarism, as well as programs on time management and critical thinking.

UniPass is a voluntary, peer-facilitated academic assistance program that can help you get through some of our tougher courses.

English language

English language support is available for students who have English as an additional language, or for those who want to improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

The Curtin Leadership Centre can help you develop your skills in public speaking, project management and self-awareness through a combination of workshops, online training and practical experiences. You can learn how to apply your new skills through volunteering and community projects.

Work experience

Add to your Curtin education with practical work experience and community projects. No matter what course you are enrolled in, Work Integrated Learning provides opportunities for you to apply what you have learnt to a real-world environment.

Career planning

Curtin Careers, Employment & Leadership can assist you to find employment or undertake further career development. Our career counsellors offer a confidential service to help you with selecting classes, identifying development opportunities and prepare for job search.
